WHY IMPORT?
3 IMPORTANT BENEFITS TO IMPORTING:
CHEAPER PRICES
Buying certain items internationally will naturally be cheaper because those countries are better equipped to grow and produce those foods. For example, coconut-based products will be cheaper from Thailand. Corn-based products will be cheaper from the USA.
INCREASING VARIETY
Every country or region has a food that they specialize in. Tomatoes and pasta from Italy. Kona coffee from Hawaii. Soda and potato chips from USA. For consumers who are looking for authentic foods, trading is the only way to get them.
AUTHENTICITY
Simply by importing, you are offering a product that cannot be offered by the domestic market. You are bringing in new and interesting products that can potentially attract new, curious customers who are looking for something different.
